Inaugural publication calls for culture and process change to ‘embrace and facilitate’ patient engagement

by | 14 Nov 2016

PFMD published its inaugural paper, entitled Culture and process change as a priority for patient engagement in medicines development, in the peer-reviewed journal, Therapeutic Innovation & Regulatory Science (TIRS).

With Marc Boutin, Chief Executive Officer of the US National Health Council and PFMD founding member as lead author, the article argues that a global environment that embraces and facilitates patient engagement is essential to medicine development and better patient outcomes, but is only attainable if we remove barriers and promote effective implementation.
